Notes: As I am sure many of us have been, I go through periods of time where I am completely engrossed in the crazy, intricate patterns that occur on the trunks of trees and in their bark. I decided to get in there and explore what that topography was like one line, one whorl at a time. Nearing the completion of engraving the image lacked a certain grounding in life that I had intended so I added the branches with the blossoms.
