Notes: For this engraving, I decided to get away from a square format to accentuate the kaleidoscopic nature of the image. I took a jeweler's saw and cut the plate into this shape and then engraved it. In retrospect, it might have been easier to have engraved it first....
This was my entry in a themed show about insects. The sepia and amber are from the ink and the red dots are small pieces of paper chine colle-d to the image during printing. Chine colle refers to a process of collaging other papers into an image during the printing process.
